7 Yoga Asanas to relieve acidity and promote Healthy Digestion

Vajrasana (Thunderbolt Pose)

This pose helps to improve digestion by stimulating the abdominal organs. To do this pose, sit on your heels with your knees together and your back straight. Rest your hands on your knees. Hold the pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute. 

Ardha Matsyendrasana (Half Lord of the Fishes Pose)

This pose helps to improve digestion by twisting the spine and massaging the abdominal organs. To do this pose, sit on the floor with your legs extended in front of you. Bend your right knee and bring your right foot to the outside of your left thigh. Cross your left arm over your right and place your left hand on the floor behind you. Twist to the right, bringing your right arm overhead. Hold the pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then repeat on the other side. 

Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Bend Pose)

This pose helps to improve digestion by stretching the abdominal organs. To do this pose, sit on the floor with your legs extended in front of you. Bend forward from the hips, keeping your back straight. Bring your hands to the floor in front of you, or rest your forehead on the ground. Hold the pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute. 

Supta Baddha Konasana (Reclined Bound Angle Pose)

This pose helps to improve digestion by relaxing the digestive system. To do this pose, lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor. Bring the soles of your feet together and hug your knees towards your chest. Hold the pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute. 

Pavanamuktasana (Wind-Relieving Pose)

This pose helps to relieve gas and bloating, which can contribute to acidity. To do this pose, sit on the floor with your legs extended in front of you. Bend your right knee and bring your right foot to the inside of your left thigh. Cross your left arm over your right and place your left hand on the floor behind you. Twist to the left, bringing your right arm overhead. Hold the pose for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then repeat on the other side. 

Kapalbhati Pranayama (Skull Shining Breath)

This breathing exercise helps to improve digestion by stimulating the digestive fire. To do this exercise, sit in a comfortable position with your spine straight. Inhale deeply through your nose, then exhale forcefully through your nose. Repeat for 10-15 breaths. 

Nauli Kriya (Naval Lock) 

This advanced yoga practice helps to improve digestion by stimulating the abdominal organs. It is not recommended for beginners.
