Countable Nouns
- These are nouns we can count individually.
- They have singular and plural forms.
- You can use numbers with them (one, two, three…).
- They often use a/an, many, few, several, etc.
Examples:
- Singular: a book, an apple, a chair
- Plural: books, apples, chairs
- Sentence: I have three pens.
Uncountable Nouns
- These are nouns we cannot count as individual items.
- They usually have no plural form.
- They represent substances, materials, or abstract ideas.
- They often use some, much, a little, a lot of, a piece of, etc.
Examples:
- Water, sugar, rice, furniture, information, advice, money
- Sentence: I need some water.
