Google Doodle Honors English Actor Alan Rickman

Google dedicated a doodle to English actor Alan Rickman on Sunday, celebrating his career of almost 40 years.  

The doodle marked 36 years of his performance in the Broadway play 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' in 1987. 

Born on February 21, 1946 in west London, Alan Rickman is most popularly known for his role as Severus Snape in Harry Potter. 

He was a talented actor known for his magnetic voice and charm, with notable performances in films like 'Harry Potter' 

Rickman was also a natural painter and explored various art forms after being encouraged by his teachers and family. 

Rickman studied graphic design at Chelsea College of Art and Design and the Royal College of Art after secondary school.  

At the age 26,  Alan Rickman registered at RADA, one of the most prestigious acting schools in the world.  

Alan Rickman passed away in 2016 at the age of 69, but his legacy as a talented actor and artist lives on.
