If it functions as a&nbsp;noun, it is a noun clause. If it functions as an&nbsp;adjective, it is an&nbsp;adjective clause. Independent Clause<\/mark><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>An Independent Clause is a clause that is a meaningful sentence itself. An independent clause contains a&nbsp;subject&nbsp;and&nbsp;a finite verb makes a complete sentence by itself.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a sentence two independent clauses can be connected by the <strong>coordinator&#8217;s<\/strong> <strong>conjunction<\/strong>:&nbsp;<strong>and, but, or, nor, so, for, yet.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Example:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I read the Novel. Noun Clause<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A&nbsp;noun clause&nbsp;is a group of words that contains a&nbsp;subject&nbsp;and a&nbsp;verb&nbsp;of its own and does the function of a&nbsp;noun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Dependent Clauses acting as Nouns in sentences are called Noun Clauses or Nominal Clauses. &nbsp;A noun clause&nbsp;starts with that, how other WH-words (Which, What, Who, When, Where, Why, Whose and Whom), if, whether etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Examples:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>I hope&nbsp;that I will get a job.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You need to express&nbsp;that it\u2019s crossing a line for you.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please tell me&nbsp;who left his shoes on the floor.<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-luminous-vivid-orange-color\">B.
