Angry; a person being roused to the point where they are ready to fight.

- The whole village was up in arms.
- The whole city is up in arms.
- I understand that you are up in arms.
- This, of course, is absurd but all across the nation, parents are up in arms.
- It is attracting the opposition of those it is intended to help, who are up in arms.
- But one of those subjects has some people up in arms.
